The Regulatory Enclosure: D.C.’s Stealth War on Self-Sovereignty

D.C. has stopped trying to ban crypto and started trying to own it. The era of 'Institutional Enclosure' has begun.

Don't be fooled by the pro-crypto rhetoric coming out of D.C. lately. It’s not a change of heart; it’s a hostile takeover. The U.S. political machine has realized they can’t kill crypto, so they’ve pivoted to the next best thing: 'Institutional Enclosure.' The goal isn't to ban Bitcoin; it's to make sure you can only hold it through a regulated, surveilled, and taxable BlackRock wrapper.

This is getting interesting because the SEC’s 'regulation by enforcement' was just the softening-up phase. The real endgame is the Administrative Capture of the network layer. By forcing validators and sequencers to comply with OFAC at the protocol level, D.C. is effectively turning the public ledger into a private extension of the Treasury. They are building a digital fence around the frontier. The 'Freedom Tech' we fell in love with is being re-skinned as a tool for state-led financial surveillance. The real battle isn't about the price of BTC; it's about whether the nodes stay permissionless or become 'authorized participants.' Pay attention to the fine print in the upcoming legislative sessions—the devil isn't in the taxes, it's in the architecture.
